Most of the albums you will find are by Indie artists that are probably unknown to most of you. It does not mean there are not good. Besides, there are also a few albums by very popular artists.

So, explore Bandcamp, discover new talent, enjoy free listening & if you really like it spend a few $ and support the artists.

Glitter Soccer Cleats

April 25th, 2011 No comments
I recently bought my son his Passover gift – a pair of Adidas F50 soccer cleats. As I was browsing through the online collection of cleats, I could not stop thinking to myself – whatever happened to the classic black & white soccer cleats?

Crediting who took me to being #1 on Google

March 31st, 2011 No comments
This is Tom Zickel. I just met him at Kinnernet. He is a cool guy that enjoys iOS development.

Thanks to him, for the past 2 years, my blog has been ranked #1 for the keyword “Hebrew for iPhone” and it still does. Yep, he is the guy behind Open Hebrew, the app many of the early iPhone users in Israel used on their iPhones before Apple supported it in iOS.

Thanks Tom and nice to meet you.

A Wonderful Weekend in Rome

February 28th, 2011 No comments
Oh, Roma. The advantage of living only 3.5 hours away from you. My wife and I were there for a fantastic weekend and loved every second of it.

Efrat (a.k.a. Italiana) provided tips & recommendations that probably can't be found in a tour guide. If you are looking for a different, non-standard trip to Italy, use her services.

Of course, we let our noses simply lead us in search for excellent food. And there was plenty of it:

  • Pasta – try the ones at Gioia Mia Pisciapiano
  • Pizza – at Forno Marco Roscioli (stand and eat) & Dar Poeta (sit down)
  • Cappuccinos – love the high pitch sound of the cups shaking.
  • Gelato – in the winter it tastes even better
  • Pastries – some of best I've had in my life at La Deliziosa Pasticceria

Here are a some photos of some more Rome scenes:

First Day at The Junction

February 28th, 2011 No comments

Today marks an exciting milestone in the history of Hitpad, my new company.

I moved from working at my home office to The Junction, a new co-working space in south of Tel Aviv, facilitated by Genesis Partners (thanks again Jonny, Eden a Micha).

It is great to be in an active atmosphere again, surrounded by smart entrepreneurs. There is also Nova's music studio right next door and an excellent Falafel down the street. So if you are in the area, come say hi. It is a really cool place to work at. Very glad to be part of it.

They just played this on the radio. Thank god there’s YouTube. What an outstanding performance of Hurricane by the legendary Neil Young & the Crazy Horse (from the epic Live Rust album).
